donation of 144,000 syringes to the island to support the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> vaccination campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This donation joins other similar ones already made or coordination process by emigrants in other nations and was made possible thanks to the work of Cubans residing in the European country, and to the support contributions by citizens and organizations in solidarity with Cuba, said the group Cubans in the UK in a statement quoted by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/m.prensa-latina.cu\/?p=48862\/cubanos-en-reino-unido-envian-donativo-de-jeringuillas-a-cuba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prensa Latina<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> news agency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the residents in the United Kingdom, Daniesky Acosta, told the state media 400;\">The Cuban news agency itself <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prensa-latina.cu\/index.php?o=rn&amp;id=441694&amp;fbclid=IwAR15kCY26ZdChlh-c9mnjQPiXMBrOCusdJU5A22N-8_Al90n9Li9IU7_T9k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a donation of 120,000 kits of syringes and needles collected by Cubans living in Panama this weekend and sent to the Caribbean country on a flight operated by Cubana de Aviaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Monday, for its part, Prensa Latina <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cubainformacion.tv\/solidaridad\/20210413\/90855\/90855-campana-en-belgica-para-enviar-jeringas-e-insumos-medicos-a-cuba?fbclid=IwAR1AOLPQJ22sRrGLSAiG6RIII3KG4tgq6Ra6xwmV8HznZKZp99KJRvvVgGE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that solidarity organizations and Cuban residents in Belgium and the Netherlands launched a campaign to send a container to Cuba with supplies intended to support the COVID-19 immunization campaign; while this Wednesday it <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prensa-latina.cu\/index.php?o=rn&amp;id=442317&amp;SEO=hondurenos-inician-campana-de-recoleccion-de-jeringas-para-cuba&amp;fbclid=IwAR2m8BAfchnUMtuXRtOYSL0lM5-C33Q5ATa3VTXDGg7PUCc4R190lY9k9W0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">affirmed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that Cubans residing in Honduras and activists from this nation began collecting syringes for the island\u2019s health system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, the Italian <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ansabrasil.com.br\/americalatina\/noticia\/cuba\/2021\/04\/12\/medicos-formados-en-la-habana-reunen-jeringas_340448b2-1296-438b-a64b-a1c31d168297.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ANSA<\/span> <\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">news agency also reported on a similar initiative developed by the ELAM Chile Doctors Group, who were trained in Cuba, to raise $42,000 and buy syringes for the island.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Amaya Candia told the source that \u201cwe thought about the least cumbersome and decided on a product that would help the vaccine issue, and we were inspired by what was also done by Argentina\u2014where <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/capac-web.org\/campana-solidaria-jeringas-para-cuba\/?fbclid=IwAR00yn73d-EujgabYDn9Fr3RGPoAh0hqdS8qx_dkXXlpoAPMQu6Vm4NvBf4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a similar campaign is underway<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014and Italy to break the blockade,\u201d given the scarcity of these implements on the
