The number of deaths from the <\/span>SARS-CoV-2 virus<\/span><\/a> rose to 12 on Wednesday in Cuba, according to the report <\/span>issued today<\/span><\/a> by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), which also highlights the 1,207 infections of the day, a record number in the 13 months of confrontation with the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deaths now total 559, of which 134 have occurred in April, a month in which the incidence rate is 0.62%, although this statistic remains at 0.57% throughout the pandemic. The deaths reported this day represent the second highest figure, after the one reported on the 17th.<\/span><\/p>\n
