regulations on consumer protection and traffic of currencies, mainly in the capital of Sancti Sp\u00edritus and in Jatibonico, reported the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.escambray.cu\/2021\/desarticulan-en-sancti-spiritus-casas-almacenes-fabricas-ilegales-y-contrabando-informal-de-productos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Escambray<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> newspaper.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the police operation, dozens of houses were discovered that functioned as warehouses for agricultural products such as fruits, corn, rice and meat, as well as toiletry and cleaning supplies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span authorities made 187 seizures and occupied more than 534,000 pounds of onions, 22,554 of tomatoes, 17,844 of rice, 2,872 of peppers, 2,426 of beans, 1,814 of potatoes and 1,100 of sweet potatoes, the source specified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to figures provided by the Sancti Sp\u00edritus police, more than 1,290 pounds of beef and pork, 36,462 boxes of cigarettes and 7,828 units of toiletries were also seized.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, through the application of Decree 30 of 2021, which establishes contraventions to the price policy, until May 278 fines were imposed whose amounts total more than 900,500 pesos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Sancti Sp\u00edritus media affirmed that the police operation in that territory has focused on \u201censuring compliance with the regulations in the state and private commerce sector.\u201d As part of this, more than 280 people have been fined and 73 have been warned for committing infractions fundamentally related to violations in the weight and poor preparation of products, adulteration of prices, and non-compliance with
