countries, sources from the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The general director of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad, Ernesto Sober\u00f3n, explained in his Twitter account that these people \u201cmigrate irregularly to the United States, facing the high risks of irregular transit,\u201d as quoted by <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cubadebate.cu\/noticias\/2021\/06\/24\/mexico-devuelve-89-migrantes-cubanos-que-se-encontraban-en-ese-pais\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The foreign official blamed this on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/tag\/cuba-usa-relations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">measures<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> adopted by the U.S. authorities to hinder a regular, orderly and safe flow of travelers in both directions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Sober\u00f3n, the closure of the U.S. consular services in Havana and \u201cthe arbitrary interruption of the granting of visas to Cubans\u201d forces them to travel to third countries without guarantee of being given a visa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 14th Meeting of the Working Group on Migratory and Consular Issues between Cuba and Mexico was held virtually last week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the source, the delegations analyzed the behavior of the migratory flow between the two countries and \u201cthe illicit activities associated with it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The U.S. Border Patrol detains every day an average of 5,000 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/tag\/cuban-immigrants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">migrants<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who cross the border irregularly from Mexico every day, a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official said this Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a teleconference with journalists, the CBP official indicated that of those 5,000 daily arrests, more than 500 correspond to undocumented minors who cross the border without the company of a parent or legal guardian.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"0E5rO3Hu55\"><p><a
