Could you fulfill what you promised? \u201cLazo wrote in a letter that he made public through his social networks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The activist\u2019s message to Biden took as a starting point a few words from the president about the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> vaccination in the United States, published on Twitter. In them, the Democratic president pointed out that a \u201cstrong majority of Americans support the vaccination requirements,\u201d because they know that this issue is not about politics but rather \u201cit\u2019s about life and death\u201d and the capacity for \u201clooking out for one another.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In his letter, the teacher assured Biden that he supports his words, but asked him to make these phrases extensive to the current situation of the Cuban people as a result of the embargo and sanctions policy against the island, augmented by the Trump administration and that his government maintains in practice despite its promises and criticisms during the election campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Felprofeylaislabella%2Fposts%2F1459764714410934&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"427\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWise and beautiful words, Mr. President! Your words are so specific that they come in handy for the issue of Cuban families,\u201d said Lazo, who \u201cspeaking of \u2018majorities,\u2019\u201d reminded the president that, \u201con the issue of the embargo, as well as on the issue of vaccination, the majority of Americans also support lifting the blockade against Cuba.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cJust like the need to be vaccinated, the need to lift sanctions against the Cuban family has to do, not with political preferences, but with human preferences,\u201d paraphrased the activist, promoter of marches, demonstrations and other initiatives against the embargo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cUsing the same logic that you used on your Twitter,\u201d said Lazo to Biden, \u201cthe issue of giving relief to millions of people is connected, more than anything, with our ability as human beings to look out for one another. Therefore, sir, I make my own your words that \u2018it\u2019s about life or death\u2019 (let me add) for the Cuban people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIn short, Mr. President, we support your words of humanity and compassion, but&#8230;could you make those words extensive to the Cuban people?\u201d the leader of Bridges of Love reiterated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cMr. Biden, Cubans are human beings too (although they seem to have forgotten that in the White House). God bless you and your family, President Biden!\u201d concluded the teacher, who has been the target of criticism and even attacks and threats from radical sectors due to his position on the subject.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lazo, who has already sent other letters to Biden and Trump advocating for the lifting of sanctions and the improvement of bilateral relations, invited others to \u201cwrite to the President of the United States (in English or Spanish)\u201d or to copy and send his letter as a way to continue pressuring the U.S. government to
