href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/autoridades-cubanas-deniegan-permiso-para-la-marcha-convocada-para-noviembre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>outlawed opposition civic march<\/span><\/a><span> on November 15 in Cuba, Yunior Garc\u00eda Aguilera, announced this Tuesday that the organizers are studying how to minimize the risks of violence and eventual repression that day \u201cwithout giving up\u201d their right to demonstrate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interviewed by the EFE agency in Havana, the young playwright assured that the proposal to march on November 15 remains intact, but they are studying how and where because they do not want to \u201cthrow young people into a guaranteed repression.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOur objective is to march against violence and the liberation of prisoners and we don\u2019t want more prisoners,\u201d declared Garc\u00eda Aguilera, after specifying that the next decisions will be made public \u201cwhen I can communicate with the rest of the group.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Garc\u00eda Aguilera showed EFE that internet and landline services have been cut off at his house, in what he considers an attempt to silence his claims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The representative of Archipi\u00e9lago, the opposition platform that requested the march on November 15 and received the government refusal by describing it as \u201cillegal,\u201d expressed concern about the images on social networks of government-related response brigades, armed and supposedly ready to attack opposition protesters.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"OEnu850WxE\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/opinion\/columns\/in-plain-words\/about-a-protest\/\">About a protest<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;About a protest&#8221; &#8212; OnCubaNews href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/tag\/protests-in-cuba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">massive anti-government protests <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0broke out, stressed that he feels \u201cresponsible\u201d for those young people willing to go out on the streets and their mothers, which is why they will march to defend their right \u201cwithout putting people at risk.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The government denied permission to the peaceful march on November 15, arguing that it was \u201ca provocation\u201d framed in the strategy of \u201cregime change\u201d for Cuba \u201ctested in other countries.\u201d Given the response of Archipi\u00e9lago to continue with the call, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/cuba-fiscalia-publica-adviertencia-a-organizadores-de-marcha-anunciada-para-noviembre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prosecutor\u2019s Office warned <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0it would prosecute the organizers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The march has been called in a difficult scenario in Cuba, which is going through a severe economic crisis reflected in long lines to buy food and basic products, as well as a gradual inflation with the consequent increase in prices and power outages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Cuban government mainly attributes these problems to the U.S. financial and trade embargo, tightened during the past Donald Trump administration and maintained by that of Joe Biden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The authorities link the promoters of the peaceful opposition march with \u201ccounterrevolutionary leaders\u201d of institutions and congressmen from the neighboring country who seek a \u201cregime change\u201d and a \u201cmilitary intervention\u201d of the island.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Cuba, the rights to strike and demonstration are rarely contemplated outside state institutions and a march by
