It also reported that the procedures and formalities established by Law to obtain said document are still the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responding to inquiries received in relation to the issuance of the passport in conditions of the new normal to the control the COVID-19 pandemic, the department clarified that it is \u201can identity and citizenship document that is issued to resident Cuban citizens in the country and abroad who request it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"jg7ErJWFbi\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/pasaporte-cubano\/\">\u00bfPodr\u00eda el gobierno mejorar las condiciones del pasaporte cubano?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"\u00ab\u00bfPodr\u00eda el gobierno mejorar las condiciones del pasaporte cubano?\u00bb \u2014 OnCubaNews\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/pasaporte-cubano\/embed\/#?secret=f4l40QFEbk#?secret=jg7ErJWFbi\" data-secret=\"jg7ErJWFbi\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The source adds that in the face of requests made in favor of minors under 18 years of age and disabled, it is an essential requirement to accompany the authorization of both parents or legal guardians, formalized before a public notary or corresponding consul.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Cuban government announced in mid-November that the automatic extension of passports beyond the established 24 months was being maintained until further notice.
