{"id":249199,"date":"2022-02-13T08:33:58","date_gmt":"2022-02-13T13:33:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=249199"},"modified":"2022-02-13T08:33:58","modified_gmt":"2022-02-13T13:33:58","slug":"cuba-to-enable-its-digital-covid-19-vaccination-certificate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/coronavirus\/cuba-to-enable-its-digital-covid-19-vaccination-certificate\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuba to enable its digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the coming days, Cuba will have its own digital <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> vaccination certificate, the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> announced this Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the usual meeting of the government group to confront the pandemic, Minister of Public Health Dr. Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Portal Miranda explained that the virtual vaccination record card will be available when it is launched, according to schedule, this February 14, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acn.cu\/salud\/90568-a-punto-carnet-digital-de-vacunacion-contra-la-covid-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a dispatch<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Agencia Cubana de Noticias (ACN) news agency reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The news was celebrated by Cuban President Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel on his Twitter account, in which he described the event as an \u201cimportant step in the transformation of that sector.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MINSAPCuba?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@MINSAPCuba<\/a> alista Certificado Digital de vacunaci\u00f3n <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a>, paso importante en la transformaci\u00f3n de ese sector, urgido de una revoluci\u00f3n en la digitalizaci\u00f3n de todos sus procesos. It also said that users will be able to download the document to their cell phones and will also be able to print it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Portal Miranda also reported that people who cannot access their document, because they are not yet ready due to some delays in various territories, should go to their polyclinics to request its digitization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most recent <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acn.cu\/salud\/90537-completo-el-88-de-la-poblacion-cubana-esquema-de-vacunacion-anti-covid-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">official statistics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, reported by the ACN, indicate that in Cuba 9,849,252 people already have the complete COVID-19 vaccination scheme, a figure that is equivalent to 88% of the Cuban population.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the Ministry of Public Health, the virtual vaccination record card will be available as of next February 14, and it will be a service that will be tested in its initial stage.
