I think it is the matrix of a lot of music that is currently being made in the world,\u201d declared the renowned producer in a presentation video of his new album, released on digital platforms under the title <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Azabache de Cuba. La calle est\u00e1 caliente<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">El productor estadounidense KC Porter graba un disco de m\u00fasica tradicional de\u00a0Cuba <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gCBDZIureA\">https:\/\/t.co\/gCBDZIureA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Hispanic Post (@TheHispanicPost) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheHispanicPost\/status\/1505663000568647681?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 20, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Porter chose ten songs that represent the same number of genres of the Caribbean country\u2019s traditional music, among which are the son-guaguanc\u00f3 \u201cGuantanamera mi amor,\u201d the rumba \u201cYa se acab\u00f3 el querer,\u201d the danz\u00f3n \u201cLinda mujer,\u201d and \u201cLa casa por la ventana,\u201d a number to the rhythm of sucu suco.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To perform them, Porter brought together instrumentalists and singers from different groups such as Uni\u00f3n Sanluisera, Estrellas de la Charanga, Sonora La Calle, Los Guanches, Los Karachi, Septeto Turquino, Chang\u00fc\u00ed Santiago and the Conga de Los Hoyos, among others, in a recording studio in the eastern city of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/santiago-de-cuba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Santiago de Cuba<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI always wanted to be part of a production like this, with an emphasis on the musical roots of Cuba,\u201d said the record producer of artists such as Santana, Shakira, Sting, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Michael Jackson, Ricky Martin, Luis Miguel, Alejandro Sanz, Usher, Laura Pausini and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With a Grammy award, two other Latin Grammys and more than 40 albums with tens of millions of copies sold, Porter said that he felt \u201ca lot of pleasure\u201d in producing this one, which he says particularly fascinates him for \u201cits flavor, its spontaneity\u201d and for \u201c the ability to improvise that the Cuban musician from the people, from the street, has.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are showing the world a lot of unpublished Cuban traditional music, currently unknown,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This co-production, in which the U.S. record labels Insignia Records and Meta Platforms, Inc. are involved, was mastered in Los Angeles and in Cuba. It featured the co-production of Alden Gonz\u00e1lez and Dami\u00e1n Busqueta and the musical direction of Wilber Jes\u00fas Cos, Brent Bourgeois and Leslie Barton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Cuban co-producer, Alden Gonz\u00e1lez, highlighted that this album has \u201cminimal editing and retouching, a lot of natural equalization\u201d and that it gives
