small motor boat built from a surfboard, who had already been reported missing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cA good Samaritan saw the two Cuban men on Tuesday at approximately 5 p.m. about 10 miles west of Bimini, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/tag\/bahamas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bahamas<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and contacted the Coast Guard,&#8221; said a statement posted this Wednesday morning on Twitter.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Update?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Update<\/a> A good Sam spotted the 2 Cuban males, Tues., at approximately 5 p.m. about 10 miles west of Bimini, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bahamas?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bahamas<\/a>, and contacted the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/USCG?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@USCG<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/USCG?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#USCG<\/a> crews rescued the 2 people, reported in good health, and are expected to be transferred to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheRBDF?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@TheRBDF<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/USEmbCuba?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@USEmbCuba<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/USEmbassyNassau?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@USEmbassyNassau<\/a> <a be transferred to the Royal Bahamas Defense Force.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Coast Guard did not release any further information about these two people who were known to have left Cuba early last week and were thought to be arriving in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/tag\/florida\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: in the Keys area, but last Monday, in a message on Twitter, it announced that it was suspending it pending new information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a message published last Saturday, the Coast Guard asked the public to notify them if they saw two men in a boat made from a surfboard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the current fiscal year, which began on October 1, 2021, more than a thousand Cubans have been intercepted in U.S. waters and, in most cases, have been deported to
