Cuba Business Report (@CubaReport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CubaReport\/status\/1551650269179658246?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 25, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Caribbean island obtained this endorsement thanks to the fact that it has an area of \u200b\u200bcoral reefs of 3,020 square kilometers, around 1,103 species of fish, of which 44 are in danger of extinction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, it has 46 snorkeling excursions in the different points enabled for diving along its coasts, a 0% global emission of plastic waste and the temperature of the sea is rather constant, ranging between 27.5 and 30.53 degrees Celsius, PL noted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the sites that stand out for this practice are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Attraction_Review-g147270-d610962-Reviews-Maria_La_Gorda-Cuba.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mar\u00eda la Gorda<\/a> beach, at the western end of the island, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Attraction_Review-g147270-d148002-Reviews-Bay_of_Pigs-Cuba.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bay of Pigs<\/a> south of Matanzas, the coast of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Tourism-g1172156-Jibacoa_Mayabeque_Province_Cuba-Vacations.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jibacoa<\/a>, one hour from Havana, and the seas of the keys to the north of the central-eastern region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bounce<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> platform, the first position corresponds to Australia, which is \u201chome to the second largest area of \u200b\u200bcoral reefs in the world, which is equivalent to 17.22% of the total coral reefs in the world,\u201d says the report.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, the Maldives ranked second, hosting almost 3.14% of the total coral reefs on the planet, although the site highlighted the low temperature of the sea that requires equipment and a neoprene suit to dive in the place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nature, including its marine ecosystem, classifies among the most notable attractions that Cuba offers to tourists who visit it, especially for a segment that prefers experiences of this type, and that could contribute to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/cuba-ministro-de-turismo-cree-posible-la-meta-de-2-5-millones-de-visitantes-en-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuban government\u2019s intentions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of receiving this year more than 2.5 million travelers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The so-called smokeless industry is one of the island\u2019s great bets in the face of the deep crisis it is going through, aggravated by the impact of the pandemic, the United States embargo on the island, and internal inefficiencies and difficulties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to official figures, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/tourism-in-cuba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tourism<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> represents the second sector with the highest contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country, and is also the second source of foreign currency income in terms of the volume it reports.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A platform specialized in tourism places the island on a par with the United States, only behind Australia and the Maldives.
