Meanwhile, the fifth group, traveling in a makeshift boat, was detained at approximately 8 p.m. on Thursday, about 46 miles south of Key West.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThese voyages are not only illegal but also incredibly dangerous,\u201d said Lt. Paul Puddington, Coast Guard Seventh District.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The repatriation took place aboard the Coast Guard cutter Raymond Evans. Last Thursday, the Coast Guard had already notified the return to the island of 88 people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The U.S. Coast Guard has also detained migrants from Haiti and the Dominican Republic these days, but in smaller numbers.
