Our condolences to her children and other relatives,\u201d the activists said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"es\" dir=\"ltr\">Lamentamos el feminicidio de Lisandra Fern\u00e1ndez, de 34 a\u00f1os de edad, sucedido el 20 de octubre, en la ciudad de Las Tunas. There were four more attempted attacks and one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eleconomista.es\/actualidad\/noticias\/11268411\/06\/21\/Que-es-la-violencia-vicaria-el-extremo-mas-cruel-de-la-violencia-de-genero.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>vicarious murder<\/strong><\/a> was confirmed in the first half of the year, according to the activists who compile this data in the absence of an official count.<\/p>\n<p>In comparison, this group verified 36 femicides in 2021 and 32 in 2020, including 4 vicarious murders.<\/p>\n<p>These platforms assured in a recent interview with the <em>EFE<\/em> news agency that, in case they make the report, \u201cthere is no action by the authorities that contains that aggressor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Yo S\u00ed Te Creo en Cuba<\/em> explained to <em>EFE<\/em> that most of the victims are young women from rural communities and the aggressors are usually partners or ex-partners.<\/p>\n<p>Cuba does not publish figures on <a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/violencia-de-genero\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>sexist violence<\/strong><\/a>. The most recent data on this topic is that of a 2016 National Gender Equality Survey, in which 10,698 women were questioned.<\/p>\n<p>It noted that 26.7% of Cuban women between the ages of 15 and 74 claimed to have suffered some type of violence in their partner relationship in the 12 months prior to the study, and that only 3.7% of those attacked asked for institutional help.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Independent platforms lamented the death of a 34-year-old woman in the city of Las Tunas at the hands of her husband, who later committed suicide.
