Personas decentes<\/span><\/i>, the latest installment of <\/span>Leonardo Padura<\/b><\/a>\u2019s black series, is one of the novels published in Spanish that stood out in 2022, according to a summary made by the Spanish EFE news agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

The work of the Havana author, winner of the Princess of Asturias Award in 2015, shares with <\/span>Violeta<\/span><\/i>, by Isabel Allende; <\/span>Todo va a mejorar<\/span><\/i>, Almudena Grandes\u2019 posthumous work, and other books such as <\/span>Revoluci\u00f3n<\/span><\/i>, by Arturo P\u00e9rez-Reverte.<\/span><\/p>\n

With <\/span>Personas decentes<\/span><\/i>\u00a0(Tusquets), the Cuban returned to bookstores with his ninth crime novel, \u201cthe most detective and Havanan of the series starring policeman Mario Conde,\u201d the Spanish news agency pointed out.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this book, he addresses the context of 2016, a time in which, as its protagonist points out, an \u201cillusion\u201d was experienced in Cuba, the dream of an opening materialized with the visit of U.S. President Barack Obama.<\/span><\/p>\n
