{"id":263886,"date":"2023-01-20T14:04:04","date_gmt":"2023-01-20T19:04:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=263886"},"modified":"2023-01-20T14:04:04","modified_gmt":"2023-01-20T19:04:04","slug":"cuban-family-parole-interrupted-in-2017-remains-suspended-indefinitely","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba-usa\/cuban-family-parole-interrupted-in-2017-remains-suspended-indefinitely\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuban Family Parole, interrupted in 2017, remains suspended \u201cindefinitely\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two weeks ago, the Biden administration announced <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba-usa\/biden-plan-small-relief-for-an-endless-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>a new program\u00a0<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to enter the United States, through a parole system that grants up to 30,000 monthly permits for citizens of Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Haiti.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this scenario, the U.S. embassy in Havana assured that another immigration program for the island\u2019s residents, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cu.usembassy.gov\/es\/visas-es\/immigrant-visas-es\/cuban-parole-programs-es\/cp3-es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Cuban Family Parole (CP3)<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, remains suspended indefinitely.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CnhiN7eBFWv\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=embed_video_watch_again\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>In a message on Instagram<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an employee of the diplomatic headquarters recalled that there are other possibilities to emigrate to the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cUnited States Citizenship and Immigration Services suspended this program indefinitely in 2017. Other immigration alternatives may exist, and we encourage you to visit the USCIS website or contact the USCIS contact center through the links we leave below for additional information,\u201d said an employee who gave his name as \u201cAndy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those links are <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.uscis.gov\/es<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/contactcenter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.uscis.gov\/contactcenter<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In September of last year, the embassy announced that it had reactivated the Cuban Family Reunification Program (CFRP). Then, it said that it had begun to process the pending applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cUSCIS has begun mailing interview notices to CFRP petitioners with instructions for the beneficiary interview.
