{"id":266077,"date":"2023-03-06T14:51:34","date_gmt":"2023-03-06T19:51:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/?p=266077"},"modified":"2023-03-06T14:51:34","modified_gmt":"2023-03-06T19:51:34","slug":"nearly-half-a-million-international-travelers-arrived-in-cuba-until-february","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba\/economy\/tourism-in-cuba\/nearly-half-a-million-international-travelers-arrived-in-cuba-until-february\/","title":{"rendered":"Nearly half a million international travelers arrived in Cuba until February"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the end of February, Cuba had registered the arrival of 489,000 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/tag\/tourism-in-cuba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>foreign visitors<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> according to preliminary reports published by the official Cubadebate website.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">67.2% of that figure is represented in three markets: Canada (252,650), Cubans residing abroad (51,187) and the United States (24,451).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cubadebate.cu\/noticias\/2023\/03\/05\/cuba-recibio-casi-medio-millon-de-visitantes-internacionales-en-los-dos-primeros-meses-de-este-ano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>information<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, arrivals from the traditional markets of Europe maintain low figures due to the non-recovery of long-distance trips and insufficient air connections, in addition to other causes not mentioned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this way, the flow of visitors from this region remained the same, taking into account country and number of arrivals: United Kingdom (13,596), Germany (13,585), France (13,103), Italy (11,373), Spain (10,613) and Russia (20,589).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the first five days of the current month of March, which represents the month of maximum tourist arrivals for Cuba, only 470 flights will land at Cuban international airports, according to Cubadebate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, 12,180 visitors arrived by sea;
