There were no injuries to personnel. The details are being specified,\u201d Rodr\u00edguez Parrilla then specified on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shortly after, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) issued a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cubaminrex.cu\/es\/ataque-terrorista-contra-la-embajada-de-cuba-en-eeuu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>statement<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0in which it detailed that the subject had thrown \u201ctwo Molotov cocktails from the sidewalk over the perimeter fence of the facility, which hit the front wall of that diplomatic mission.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The statement added that \u201cat the request of the Cuban diplomatic mission, U.S. Secret Service agents appeared at the embassy and had access to its facilities to verify the violent action perpetrated.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The events took place precisely on the day that President Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel returned to Havana after a week in New York, on the occasion of the opening of the United Nations General Assembly, in which the island delegation held intense diplomatic activity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three years ago, in April 2020, a man armed with an assault rifle, later identified as Cuban <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/cuba-usa\/perpetrator-of-shooting-against-cuban-embassy-in-u-s-arrested-and-identified\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Alexander Alazo<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, 42, opened fire outside the Cuban facility, hitting the walls and columns of the fa\u00e7ade and the main entrance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The MINREX recalled that the author of that action \u201cis still waiting to be tried and the United States government has refused to classify the event as a terrorist
