Close to launch, although without a specific date, the new Cubagob digital government platform will integrate \u201cexisting and new\u201d IT solutions, in addition to facilitating the management of online government procedures and services.<\/span><\/p>\n

According<\/b><\/a> to the newspaper <\/span>Granma<\/span><\/i>, the new platform will implement digital payment and signature, while enabling the creation of the citizen\u2019s digital identity.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the platform, \u201ccivil status registration procedures\u201d are implemented, as well as those related \u201cto the identity card,\u201d in addition to enabling the request for \u201csocial protection services and job offers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The note highlights the existence of 263 digital government portals on the Internet, which encompass national entities, provincial and municipal governments. It also indicates that of 328 procedures and services identified for individuals, 139 present \u201csome level of computerization,\u201d which represents 60 more than those existing at the end of 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 41 procedures in the Tax Law that require payment of taxes on public documents (stamp) can be paid digitally, <\/span>Granma<\/span><\/i> recalled, when in 2023 3.41 million procedures were carried out using the digital stamp through Transferm\u00f3vil.<\/span><\/p>\n

Until last May, visits to the web portals of the Central State Administration Agencies grew by 10%. The number of visitors to the provincial portals increased by 52.8% compared to the last five months of 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

As advances in this environment, this year the versions of toDus, Picta, and Apklis were updated, digital platforms \u201cthat increase their assistance, improve their efficiency and gain recognition among Cuban Internet users,\u201d <\/span>Granma<\/span><\/i> added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the Cuban government\u2019s aims is \u201cto establish the regulatory framework to promote the development of digital government\u201d to guarantee \u201cthe reliability, authenticity, integrity, accessibility, transparency, immediacy and security\u201d of public information.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of this organization towards the digitalization of services, this Wednesday <\/span>the Cuban electronic visa platform was announced<\/b><\/a>, already in operation under the name <\/span>Evisa<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Minister of Tourism Juan Carlos Garc\u00eda Granda pointed out among the advantages of Evisa the security of the system, which, he said, \u201cstreamlines and simplifies the visa application and management processes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>Granma<\/span><\/i>, what the Cuban authorities are seeking is to create mechanisms for registration, updating and interoperability between the different actors of the Public Administration and People\u2019s Power.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
