Slowly, but it is changing, and so is its capital. You can see it, for example, on the walls of Havana. Cuba must also be one of the few countries without advertising posters for mega companies like Coca-Cola or McDonald. On a wall in Old Havana, \u201cSuper Malo\u201d (Super Bad), the artist\u2019s fetish character, held the blond head of the magnate. The work was ephemeral; too ephemeral. I think it did not last more than 24 hours in the view of passers-by. Photo: Alejandro Ernesto.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I have read that Trump\u2019s was one of the first graffiti by the young artist Fabi\u00e1n, who signs his works as \u201c2+2=5\u201d. And I learned that, contrary to what many of us think, his identity has nothing to do with <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1984<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the dystopian novel by the British George Orwell. But he is not the only local graffiti artist. On the city\u2019s ruined walls there are works by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncuba.news\/en\/oncuba-media-en\/graffiti-artist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yulier P.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Happy Zombie, Silis, Leandro, B8, Lou81, and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And if we\u2019re talking about Havana graffiti, we must mention San Isidro, in deep Old Havana, once the red-light district, a neighborhood of sailors and humble people. Photo: Alejandro Ernesto.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 2016, the Gorr\u00eda Gallery Workshop (GTG) has been based in San Isidro, a project by the renowned actor and filmmaker Jorge Perugorr\u00eda, determined to change the face of the neighborhood and turn it into a kind of tropical SoHo. I would like to see our streets converted into an immense, plural, open gallery.
