That is the Cuba we dream of. And that is why it is forbidden to stop dreaming. And we Cubans, before we even walk, we dance and feel the music. So,\u00a0based on that, the idea for this campaign\u00a0emerged, a campaign that goes from the present to the retro, and now\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0going to\u00a0continue\u00a0and\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0going to go even further. According to official data from the National Office of Statistics and Information (ONEI),\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/cuba\/economia\/turismo\/con-casi-400-mil-visitantes-menos-hasta-septiembre-el-turismo-cubano-sigue-en-numeros-rojos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Cuba\u00a0received 1,366,720 tourists between January and September<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, a\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">20.5% drop compared to the same period in 2014<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The most optimistic projections\u00a0indicate\u00a0that Cuba will close 2025 with\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberglinea.com\/2025\/11\/07\/el-turismo-a-cuba-se-desploma-20-en-medio-de-la-escasez-y-las-sanciones\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">around\u00a01.8 million visitors<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, well below the government\u2019s target of 2.6 million and far from the 4.2 million the country received in 2019, before the pandemic. Hotel occupancy\u00a0remains\u00a0at minimal levels, close to 25% in the first half of the year.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Experts like economist Jos\u00e9 Luis\u00a0Perell\u00f3\u00a0estimate that Cuba will not reach pre-pandemic tourism levels until 2030, constituting a\u00a0\u201clost decade\u201d\u00a0for one of the main drivers of the island\u2019s economy.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In this challenging context, Iberostar\u2019s commitment to strengthening its presence in Cuba and launching a cultural promotion campaign\u00a0represents\u00a0a vote of confidence in the destination\u2019s potential, although the road to the sector\u2019s recovery appears
