More than just a physical location\u00a0\u2014\u00a0though it is certainly that as well\u00a0\u2014\u00a0this local development project in\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/tag\/la-habana-vieja\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Old\u00a0Havana\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">seeks to be a space for communion\u00a0and visibility for a quiet, yet fundamental, guild.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The project is headquartered on\u00a0Callej\u00f3n\u00a0de Espada, situated right inside the former residence of the celebrated Bishop Juan Jos\u00e9 D\u00edaz de Espada y Landa\u00a0\u2014\u00a0a building dating back to the 19th century. Maylet Uranga Hern\u00e1ndez\u00a0\u2014\u00a0who credits the Office of the City Historian with playing a key role in her professional development\u00a0\u2014\u00a0possesses\u00a0a collection of over 5,000 books and other objects. The project continues to invite collectors to\u00a0showcase\u00a0their holdings and share their knowledge\u00a0\u2014\u00a0not only with fellow collectors but also with the\u00a0general public\u00a0\u2014\u00a0so that people,\u00a0\u201ceven under these circumstances,\u00a0can\u00a0enjoy art, literature and history\u201d\u00a0through the pieces on display.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThis is a marvelous world,\u201d\u00a0declares Uranga Hern\u00e1ndez, who invites residents of\u00a0her\u00a0community\u00a0\u2014\u00a0and those beyond it\u00a0\u2014\u00a0to visit the headquarters and engage with its activities and exhibitions.
