On the decorative arts he said that in recent times they have become mainly of museum interest.<\/p>\n<p>He also stated that the work submitted for this year&#8217;s event belong to the period between the beginning of the twentieth century to the present, and are included in the trends of the academia, avant-garde and contemporary. They excel in selecting the names of the artists Servando Cabrera Moreno, Cundo Berm\u00fadez, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Mijares, Lolo Soldevilla, Mariano Rodr\u00edguez, Ren\u00e9 Portocarrero and Victor Manuel.<\/p>\n<p>A novel element in this auction is the presentation for the first time a sheet by Wifredo Lam, a pastel and charcoal from 1955.<\/p>\n<p>Other artists with pieces for sale are Ruperto Jay Matamoros, Ernesto Gonzalez Puig, Angel Acosta Leon Sand\u00fa Dari\u00e9, Eduardo Abela, Julio Girona, Ren\u00e9 Pe\u00f1a, Moses Final\u00e9 Ivan Capote, Jos\u00e9 Bedia, Los carpinteros and Roberto Fabelo.<\/p>\n<p>Among the most valuable works is the bronze sculpture Flora recogedora de sue\u00f1os, by artist Cundo Bermudez, with a value ranging between 150 and 160 thousand Euros.<\/p>\n<p>The pieces will be on display until November 4th at Havana Gallery, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A total of 51 batches of Cuban art and 38 artists make up the XII edition of Havana Auction, to be held on November 5 at the Taganana Room of Havana\u00b4s Hotel Nacional, said Luis Miret, vice president of the event.
