It\u2019s true that sometimes we Cubans tend to exaggerate, but when we consider our archipelago\u2019s size and population, we can\u2019t deny it: Cuba is news.<\/p>\n<p>In recent months, the island has once again made headlines. The restoration of diplomatic relations with the United States, the opening of embassies in both countries, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry\u2019s visit to Havana\u2014they\u2019ve all turned eyes toward Cuba. In September we were visited by Pope Francis. While our country is not majority Catholic, it has been one of the few nations to welcome the last three popes, matched only by Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>We address these issues in <strong>OnCuba<\/strong>\u2019s issue no. 31.
