It\u2019s ideal for friends wanting to meet up in a relaxed atmosphere, a great place to chill out and chat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/IMG_8323.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-56565 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/IMG_8323.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8323\" width=\"755\" height=\"503\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/IMG_8323.jpg 755w, https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/IMG_8323-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" \/><\/a>The food is, if we had to describe it \u2013 minimal Creole, fused with international cuisine. Barbecue and grilled dishes feature extensively on the menu while there are also vegetarian options.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe idea is that the client creates their own dish. For example, pasta doesn\u2019t feature on the menu, but if a client wants it, we oblige, while offering them the choice of combining their selection with other options on the menu. The client is king and can order whatever he\/she likes from the kitchen; provided we have it. This is clearly explained on the menu so that everyone knows how the system works and can satisfy their desires,\u201d explains Yunior.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3762.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-56567 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3762.jpg\" alt=\"King-Bar_3762\" width=\"755\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3762.jpg 755w, https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3762-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" \/><\/a>The space exudes an artistic ambience, notwithstanding the numerous artists who frequent the bar at all hours. Welcoming clients at the entrance is a large, remarkable sculpture; a work by Oscar \u00c1lvarez, who according to Yunior, \u201cIs the in-house artist,\u201d and has collaborated in the design of several areas in the establishment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3812.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-56568 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3812.jpg\" alt=\"King-Bar_3812\" width=\"755\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3812.jpg 755w, https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3812-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" \/><\/a>\u201cWe want the bar to be a showcase for visual artists wanting to display their works, and to function like a gallery space. Several creators have already exhibited their works here. We are planning to organize a caf\u00e9 concert with theatrical performances and fashion shows, among other cultural activities. Every Thursday sees flamenco music by Reynier\u00a0Mari\u00f1o, while young singer Alejandro Boue performs on Sundays. We don\u2019t have a fixed program but would like our night time schedule to feature all genres of music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3766.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-56570 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3766.jpg\" alt=\"King-Bar_3766\" width=\"755\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3766.jpg 755w, https:\/\/oncubanews.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/King-Bar_3766-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" \/><\/a>Another of King Bar\u2019s strong points is its service: \u201cWhen we discover it\u2019s someone\u2019s birthday we present them with a cake and all the staff sing happy birthday and we dance a celebratory conga. It has become of one Havana\u2019s main hot spots, the bar everyone\u2019s talking bout; which has understandably, gained notoriety in a short space of time, and is packed at every hour of the day, night and early morning for that matter.<\/p>\n<p>Time seems to stand still in King Bar, and for the client &#8211; enjoying the feeling of being treated like royalty &#8211; minutes seem like hours.
