With the recent announcement of the Adonia\u2019s departures from the port of Miami en route to Cuba, the Carnival Cruises Company has added three new excursion packages that will allow vacationers to interact with Cuba\u2019s culture and nature: Tras los pasos de Hemingway (Following Hemingway\u2019s Footsteps), M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de La Habana: explorando el campo cubano (Beyond Havana: Exploring the Cuban Countryside) and La magia de Santiago y El Cobre (The Magic of Santiago and El Cobre).<\/p>\n
Carnival\u2019s press release explains the characteristics of the three new excursions included in Adonia\u2019s program on the island. Following Hemingway\u2019s Footsteps includes the visit to Finca Vig\u00eda, the residence in Cuba of the Nobel Prize for Literature, as well as places the U.S. novelist frequented, in addition to the town of Coj\u00edmar, the source of inspiration for his most renowned work, The Old Man and the Sea.<\/p>\n
Beyond Havana: Exploring the Cuban Countryside, will take the cruise passengers to the community of Las Terrazas, in the province of Artemisa, which is a spot of great importance from the point of view of its biosphere, recognized by UNESCO as a reserve. The approximately nine-hour tour will also allow for observing and taking picture of sugarcane and coffee plantations.<\/p>\n
\u201cExperiencing the combination of revolution, rum, religion and salsa in Santiago de Cuba\u201d is the aim of the world\u2019s largest cruise company with its third excursion to Cuba\u2019s eastern region.<\/p>\n

The tour of Santiago de Cuba\u2019s geography will join the sanctuary of Our Lady of Charity, Cuba\u2019s patron saint, in El Cobre, with the Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed Mausoleum in Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, in addition to the Loma de San Juan, where the Rough Riders troops settled during the Spanish-Cuban-American War at the close of the 19th century.<\/p>\n
Tara Russel, president of the Fathom line, a Carnival franchise that connects Cuba and the United States, said that one of the nicest things about traveling to Cuba with Fathom is that travelers spend less time planning and more enjoying.<\/p>\n
