Hey there! We have a lot going on this week. One of the interesting events is the exhibition by Albert Oehlen, a recognized postwar German artist getting to Cuba and Latin America for the first time. You can\u2019t miss it!<\/p>\n

We also have the Cuban interpreter Osdalgia in concert this Sunday, singing all the Classics<\/em> with the Cuban National Symphonic Orchestra. Last but not least, Danza Contempor\u00e1nea will have two world premieres on weekend.<\/p>\n

1st<\/sup> class German art<\/h3>\n

German painter Alber Oehlen opened his personal exhibition \u00d6 <\/em>in the National Museum of Fine Arts. Even though Oehlen is not well know in Cuba, he is one of the most influential and valued of last decades. He refers to his own work as a autistic, and in did it burst with abstract, expressionism and surrealism. With this exhibition Oehlen\u2019s work arrives to Cuba and Latin America, and will be open until September 11th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Octopus and calamari in town!<\/h3>\n

Artist Ibrahim Miranda will open today his exhibition Kraken<\/em> at 7 pm in Or\u00edgenes Gallery of the Great Theater of Havana. Miranda uses the kraken in order to construct the discourse of this show.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Comfort zone<\/h3>\n

Today 14th<\/sup> at 6 pm will be opened the personal exhibition Comfort Zone<\/em> by artist Jos\u00e9 Luis Berm\u00fadez in Galiano Gallery. This Cuban gallery organized the event together with NG Art Gallery from Panama.\"\"<\/a>\"\" <\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Osdalgia: Classic and super Cuban<\/h3>\n

Osdalgia will sing with the Cuban National Symphonic Orchestra this Sunday at 5pm in the National Cuban Theater. The concert\/show named Classics will be a tribute to Cuban classics songs.

\"\"<\/a>Classic music of Our Time<\/h3>\n

This Saturday at 4 pm the instrumental group Nuestro Tiempo, directed by Master Enrique P\u00e9rez Pe\u00f1a will offer a concert in Loynaz Room of Hispanic-American Culture Center. Tickets will be available an hour before the presentation with a cost of 5 Cuban pesos. The repertoi will include pieces by Bach, Handel, Mozart and Ravel, as well as some of the Latin American and Cuban such as Piazzola, White, L\u00f3pez-Gavil\u00e1n and P\u00e9rez-Prado.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Reynier Mari\u00f1o: here and there<\/h3>\n

To flamenco lovers we have a very special proposal: Reynier Mari\u00f1o and his group together with Rachel Valladares will be today at 5 pm in Casa del Alba. Also tomorrow at 8:30 pm you can find him in Central Park Hotel, and later at 11 pm in Mes\u00f3n de la Chorrera. Finally on Sunday he will paly with some guests in Casa Rosada (May\u00eda Rodr\u00edguez St. and Santa Catalina St., 10 de Octubre) at 8:30 pm.<\/p>\n
