Big Freedia, known as “the greatest ambassador of New Orleans bounce music,” arrived this Tuesday in Havana with a schedule of presentations and exchanges with musicians and members of the LGBTIQ+ community that will last until November 20.
The hip-hop singer and influencer, recognized throughout the United States, tendrá will carry out at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday the 18th a concert at Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC), where she will also exchange with Cuban musicians, according to the program that she shared on her networks.
At the Tempo Bar, Big Freedia will also be part of a twerking class at 7:00 p.m. this Thursday, accompanied by the Cuban rappers La Reina and La Real. And a day later she will stage a session dedicated to dance, music and fashion at the La Lavandería studio, in Playa.

According to AM:PM Magazine, the artist plans to deepen the cultural ties between New Orleans and the island, especially in terms of the African heritage in Cuba. During her stay, she will also have meetings with members of the LGBTIQ+ community and Cuban entrepreneurs, with whom she will talk about the opportunities and challenges of business in the country.
Her official page highlights that she recently made headlines for her participation in Break My Soul, Beyoncé’s Grammy Award-winning single, released in 2022.
Additionally, she appeared in several notable projects, including Formation, also by Beyoncé, and Nice For What, by Drake, in which she provided vocals. In 2021, she did a version of “Judas” on Lady Gaga’s album Born this Way The Tenth Anniversary.
Called by her fans the “Queen Diva,” Freedia is an advocate for racial and gender equality and LGBTQ+ rights.
