Cuban and foreign organisms, enterprises, universities and research centers as well as recently created cooperatives in the self-employment sector, all of them connected to the industrial sphere, will take part in the First International Convention on the Cuban Industry from June 23 through 27, organized by the Cuban Ministry of Industries.

Havana’s Convention Center will be the venue of the event, which has also arranged an exhibit at PABEXPO showground for the exhibition and sale of industrial items.

Cubaindustria, which will be held every two years, aims at becoming “the perfect space for sharing scientific and technical researches and projects, strengthening technological associations between national and international industries, promoting exports and consolidating national productions”, as reads the website of the event.

The iron and steel, mechanic, light, chemical, electrical and recycling sectors are the main targets of this commercial event, which is also searching for new alliances with other sectors of the national economy.

This event might as well become an exceptional scenario for assessing the business portfolio of the Cuban industry in contrast with foreign markets, as a result of the new Foreign Investment Law passed last March by the National Assembly.

The following are the activities arranged within the context of the event:
