Cuban Pole Vault Jumper Silva Sets Season Best in Sweden

This Thursday Cuban Yarisley Silva jumped 4.78 meters in the 40th Stockholm Gala, Sweden, the last meeting of the winter indoor circuit of the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF), and registered the best mark of the season, and at the same she established a new Central American record for women pole vault. The first competitors began jumping over 4.00 and 4.25 meters, but in her first attempt, Yarisley flew over the bar at 4.45 meters, which is the 3rd highest mark reached in the Ericsson Globe Arena, the venue of this event.

Cuba Announces Baseball Team to 3rd WBC
