Hotel Nacional de Cuba, one of the country’s most emblematic tourist installations, will be the venue next October of the 13th International Wine Feast, an excellent opportunity for exchanges among mixing experts, tasters, producers, distributors, sommeliers, professionals of the gastronomy trade, enologists and businessmen from different parts of the world.

The meeting, foreseen for October 3-5, has the purpose of contributing to the growth of quality tourism as well as in the segment of high level travelling and gastronomy.

As explained by hotel specialist Víctor G. Rosquete, it has been foreseen that wine cellars and producers with tradition in this branch from Argentina, Chile, Mexico, France, Italy and Spain, as well as Cuban commercial entities take part in this event.

Important producers like Bodegas Torres, MG, Juanita Mateo S.L. (Freixenet), D’Marco, ITM, Joan Sardá, Inversiones Pucara S. A. and Dallevigne, among others, have already registered as participants.

The festival will also include the traditional exhibitions, conferences and campaign examples presented by the distributors, in addition to samplings, with a call open to enterprises throughout the world.

Rosquete furthermore announced that interesting debates, exchanges, presentation of new products and analyses on the trends of the tourist industry and particularly of the gastronomic sector will also take place.

Hotel Nacional de Cuba, the event’s venue, opened its doors on December 30, 1930. Stars of the height of Johnny Weismuller, Ava Gardner, Buster Keaton, Errol Flynn and Frank Sinatra were once its guests.

With plans by McKim, Mead and White Architects from New York and construction by the Purdy Henderson Company, the installation has 457 bedrooms, the majority of them with a view to the sea (of them, 16 suites and one presidential suite).
