The Juan Antonio Márquez Plastic Items Enterprise in Ciego de Ávila, known as CEPIL, finished the construction phase of a new manufacturing line of paint containers for the Pinturas Vitral brand.
According to a report by the Agencia Cubana de Noticias (ACN) Cuban news agency, the implementation of this investment valued at 4.1 million dollars will depend on the arrival of Chinese specialists in the first quarter of 2020, according to the newspaper Juventud Rebelde.
The new assembly line consists of seven machines with their auxiliary equipment for the manufacture of paint containers.
It will produce containers with capacities for 19, 10 and 3.8 liters of paint. Although according to the director of the enterprise, Oscar Morales Jiménez, it could also produce food containers due to the resistance and sealing they ensure.
The enterprise is responsible for various productions based on plastic: coat hangers, waste containers with their lid, draining racks, urinals for children and containers from 0.5 to a liter and a half.
To date, medium and small rectangular containers have been produced for sale in Foreign Currency Collection Stores (TRD), and 10 and 12 liter containers for the tourism and health sectors, ACN said.
This line should have entered into operations in the last four months of 2019.
A testing and certification process is pending before it can be started.
