Second International Festival of Spanish Dance and Flamenco to be held in Havana

From March 10 to 15. Its venue will be the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater and the García Lorca Hall of the Alicia Alonso Grand Theater of Havana.

The second edition of the International Festival of Spanish Dance and Flamenco, Cuba-Flamenco 2020, will be held in Havana in the framework of the 33rd anniversary of the Spanish Ballet of Cuba (BEC). On this occasion it will be dedicated to the centenary of the founder of the National Ballet of Cuba, Alicia Alonso.

The event, from March 10 to 15, will be held in the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater and the García Lorca Hall of the Alicia Alonso Grand Theater of Havana.

Companies and artists from Spain, Mexico and Cuba will participate. There will be master classes with guest artists and the Spanish Ballet of Cuba. As of Friday, March 13, and until Sunday the doors of the theaters will open for the functions.

Previewed for March 13, 14 and 15 in the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater is Carmen, with script and choreography by Eduardo Veitía, featuring the Spanish Ballet of Cuba (BEC).

In the García Lorca Hall of the Alicia Alonso Grand Theater of Havana, the Lecuona Gala and Impronta Flamenco will be presented on Friday the 13th; on Saturday 14 the Gala of Stars, and on Sunday 15 the Closing Gala.
