Saint-Exupéry supo que lo esencial es invisible para los ojos. Su Principito lo nombró para nosotros y así pudimos cargar con este axioma por la vida a manera de armadura o aviso ante inevitables despistes. Como parte de la fiesta del alma que es la Oncena Bienal de la Habana, los artistas Emilia e Ilya Kabakov, trajeron a la Habana un barco sin velas, porque éstas habrían de construirse-pintarse aquí por niños rusos, estadounidenses y cubanos.

Pero la tarea no era sencilla, ¿cómo se pinta la tolerancia? ¿Cómo asirla, seducirla para que se dejara atrapar en un pedazo de tela? Más allá de un nombre o de un apelativo por el que nos gustaría ser señalados, ser tolerantes, es un modo de vivir la vida, de homenajearla por encima de nuestras diferencias y de la mano de los principios que nos hacen comunes a todos los seres humanos.

 Y los niños lo lograron. Hicieron real el amor. Desde ayer viernes navega otra vez en la Habana, el Barco de la Tolerancia, con nuevas fuerzas, con distintas y similares significaciones. Porque  en Venecia, Suiza, Inglaterra, Egipto o Estados Unidos, lugares donde la nave de los artistas rusos también ha recalado, el respeto por el otro encuentra un lenguaje común.
