Cuban citizens will be able to travel to Russia for a period of three months without having to apply for a visa, upon the entry into force of the new exemption agreement that extends the stay permit from 30 to 90 days.

The agreement, signed on May 22 in Moscow and applied reciprocally, was published this Friday on the official legal information page of the Russian Federation, thus already taking effect.

The document stipulates that the visa exemption period is extended from 30 to 90 days for each 180-day period from the time of the first entry to Cuba or Russia, respectively.

Citizens who wish to stay or reside in the territory of the other country for more than 90 days or engage in work or business activities must apply for the corresponding visa.
