To all women who have wings in their hands
My joy is they, the puppets. They are so humble they ask for nothing and are easily satisfied… a laughter that escapes a mouth full of candy, a sigh … that intoxicates them with joy and makes them bold, sometimes daring.
The fact is that I know when they take control of my hand, my head goes with them, and I usually do unthinkable things.
I like to hear them whispering in their multicolored box, and hear their thoughts on the world and their desire for change … and I know those little “Quixote” of fabric are capable of that and more.
Ursula whispered in my ear that March 8 is International Women’s Day, as if I could forget it.
I listened very carefully, because her heart is made of very tender cotton, and I pretended I had forgotten and thanked her for reminding me … and then I kissed her long purple hair and I promised that day something important we were going to do together … I know she knows more than anyone what to say to the women: “We have learned together.”
