Within hours of Cuba starting its gradual return to normality, the health authorities reported today 7 new infections and confirmed that, for the seventh consecutive day, there have been no deaths from COVID-19; the total number of deceased remains at 84.

All were detected in Havana and, with this, according to Dr. Francisco Durán, the capital is “the region with the highest incidence rate in the last fifteen days.”

The SARS-CoV-2 positive cases were again all Cuban, and of these five were related to people already identified as carrying the virus. Six were asymptomatic.
