The U.S.-based virtual Katapulk platform will begin offering mobile recharges to the island and also for the Nauta Hogar home internet service.
As of April 1, Katapulk will be adding both offers, which “are part of the company’s efforts to provide its customers with more options to be in contact with their relatives in Cuba,” according to a note from the company to which OnCuba had access.
This recharge service also aims to “offer the convenience of having an online space to find a greater diversity of products and services that benefit Cuban families,” added the statement, which specifies that for its use and payment users will be able to access the platform (www.katapulk.com) from anywhere in the world and they can be purchased independently in the Katapulk Recharge store, or added as part of a purchase in the market.
“One of the values that distinguishes the purchase process in Katapulk is the ease with which users can add products from different stores on the platform during a single purchase process. This allows greater flexibility in the composition of orders, which can include, for example, Mercado Único market products, products and services from private businesses in Cuba and now, also, mobile recharges and home internet payment,” it explains about the company.
“The comfort and convenience of users who shop with Katapulk is a company priority. For this reason, within the framework of existing regulations, we will continue adding offers that respond to the needs of Cuban families on and off the island,” Hugo Cancio, president of Katapulk Marketplace LLC, confirmed.
