The Cuban Airports and Airport Services Company S.A. (ECASA) announced new measures for air transportation to be carried out as of November 7.

As of that date, transfers related to institutional isolation (both to isolation centers and hotels) are suspended for all travelers arriving in Cuba through any airport. However, the transfer of passengers leaving the isolation hotels will continue until their evacuation is completed.

The agency will also authorize the collection of passengers and luggage at airports through their own means.

Another group of measures includes gradually restoring arrivals and departures through airports, adjusting these facilities’ capacities to the new sanitary protocols.

Biosafety measures are maintained in aircraft and terminals. The mandatory use of the mask, the disinfection of hands with chlorinated solution or alcohol-based gel, the disinfection of means and facilities, the mats at the entrances, the physical separation of passengers and the limitation of the use of means and facilities’ capacity, among others.
