Cuban popular dance music group Havana D’Primera, led by trumpeter and singer Alexander Abreu, will perform on December 19 in the Rumba Alley, Guadalajara, and on Saturday 21 at Mama Rumba, in Mexico DF.
With these concerts the orchestra culminates a series of presentations that began on December 12th at Azukar Latin Night Club, in Cancun, and continued in Mambo Café, in Merida and also in Cozumel, which are part of the international tour made by the band this year to promote its CD ¨Pasaporte,¨ produced by Colibrí record label.
This phonogram, which won the CUBADISCO 2013 Award in the category of popular dance music, contains 13 tracks and among the most popular songs are: ¨Al final de la vida¨, ¨Se te olvidó quien soy¨ and ¨Pasaporte¨, which provides the title to the album.
Founded in late 2007 and composed of renowned musicians in the current panorama of Cuban music, the band is influenced by great arrangers and composers such as Chucho Valdés, José Luis Cortés, Adalberto Álvarez, Juan Formell, among others, and remain essentially under the roots of Afro-Cuban music and son.
