Only one person was diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Cuba in the last 24 hours, according to Dr. Francisco Durán in his daily appearance before the press. There were no deaths and “it is one of our most favorable days,” he said.

This is a 72-year-old Cuban woman from Yara, Granma province, whose source of infection was abroad, like 169 other Cubans reported since the pandemic began on the island. “It’s an imported case,” said Durán.

She was asymptomatic at the time of her diagnosis and was the contact of an already detected case.
