The new infections by the SARS-CoV-2 virus detected in Cuba during the last 24 hours add up to 37, according to the Ministry of Public Health in its daily report, which highlights that with the 82 discharges of the day, 6,831 patients have already recovered.
The records show Ciego de Ávila as the province with the highest number of patients today: 17 cases, all men and their ages range between 24 and 52 years. They are all residents of the provincial capital.

The rest of the provinces with COVID-19 positive cases were Pinar del Río, with 13 cases from three municipalities; Havana, with three from the same number of municipalities, and with one of the two imported cases registered today, from Arroyo Naranjo municipality; and in Sancti Spíritus three patients were diagnosed in the main municipality.
Meanwhile, the other case with a source of infection abroad is from Camagüey. All diagnosed cases were Cubans; of the total, 34 had contact with confirmed cases and the source of infection is not specified in one individual.
By gender, there were more males than females (28-9) and 29 of the total were asymptomatic, which represents 62% of those confirmed since March, when the first cases of patients with the new coronavirus were reported on the island.

Yesterday 8,803 samples were processed, 2,305 people remained hospitalized for surveillance, and four people continued in intensive care: two in critical condition and two in serious condition.
There were also no deaths on the day from this disease, and the number of fatalities remains at 130.
