Curve continues going down: nine COVID-19 positive cases and no deaths in Cuba yesterday

Ten patients were discharged and with it, according to Dr. Durán, there are more discharges than hospitalizations. A patient was reported in serious condition.

Cuba had 9 infections and yesterday did not report deaths due to the pandemic, as reported this morning by the authorities of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), with which the death toll remains at 82 and the infections amount to 1,983.

Ten patients were discharged and, therefore, according to Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of epidemiology, there are more discharges than hospitalizations. A patient was reported in serious condition.

The total of confirmed cases corresponds to Cubans; of these, 8 had contacts with confirmed cases.

This time the number of infected men is greater (5-4) than that of women, and the most affected age groups are concentrated between 40 and 60 years, with seven cases, followed by those under 40, with two.

Four of yesterday’s positive cases were asymptomatic.

Until yesterday at midnight, 555 patients were hospitalized for epidemiological clinical surveillance and 1,684 were under primary healthcare surveillance in their homes.

The country has processed a total of 99,745 tests, for a 2.0% positivity.
