In a note released this Wednesday, March 25, the Ministry of Culture (MINCULT) reported that as part of the measures to prevent and control the new coronavirus, operations and activities have been suspended in houses of culture, libraries, museums, art galleries and bookstores.

“Therefore,” says the note, “services and activities, including appreciation and training workshops, book sales, exhibitions, among other public actions, have stopped and the internal functioning of these cultural institutions will only be maintained in a reduced way.”

The measures will last until April 30, when the pertinence of their operation will be assessed depending on the epidemiological situation.

As part of these regulations against the virus, on March 14 MINCULT announced a first set of measures, including postponing national and international artistic events with large crowds.
