The prestigious British guide Condé Nast Johansens, specializing in luxury travel, honored with the 2015 Excellence Awards two Cuban hotels, Meliá Buenavista and Paradisus Rio de Oro, both run by the Spanish Meliá Hotels and Resorts chain.

Editors of prestigious magazines such as Vogue, GQ and Glamour, issued their criteria each year to form the main guide for independent travelers who wish to find the perfect place for the occasion.

In the latest edition of the Awards, Melia Buenavista excelled, a Five Star hotel located in Cayo Santa Maria, as the luxury hotel with Best Service in the Caribbean. This resort, managed by the Spanish Meliá Hotels and Resort chain, operates in all-inclusive modality with 105 suites dedicated to the Royal Service.

At the time, the YHI Spa “Aguas de Oro” Paradisus Rio de Oro, located in the province of Holguin, was awarded the laurel for excellence in the category of Luxury Spa, according to the publication on its official website.

The awards, of high influence on the tourism and hotel sector worldwide are delivered based on 16 categories of valuation among “luxury” installations which are recommended once strict inspections by specialists of the guide are carried out.

Each property is suggested by a team member of Condé Nast Johansens, for which takes into account the high standards of comfort, unique personality, warm service, convenient location and structure of the facility.
