Yesterday there were no deaths from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. “The light is starting to be seen,” said Dr. Francisco Durán regarding this data, before announcing that, after 5,855 tests carried out, the number of new contagions had dropped to 52; 24 were imported and 28 are local.

Five provinces reported autochthonous cases: Havana, Ciego de Ávila, Matanzas, Artemisa and Pinar del Río. “A great dispersion,” said Durán, as the imported cases involve 13 territories, related in today’s report.

All are Cuban: 23 had contact with confirmed cases, in five the source of infection is not specified and, as noted, 24 had the source of infection abroad, a group of patients that has now risen to 413 in Cuba since the pandemic began.
