With the death of an 80-year-old man, resident in Santiago de Cuba, the number of fatalities from COVID-19 rises to 132 on the island. Meanwhile, 35 new infections were reported by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) in the last 24 hours.
Of that total, 30 correspond to Cubans and five to foreigners from Puerto Rico, Spain and Canada. Of the total, 19 were asymptomatic.

Nine provinces reported the 35 new infections by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, according to today’s report by the MINSAP: 14 were contacts of confirmed cases and 21 had the source of infection abroad.
Broken down by territories, this is how the new positive cases are distributed:
Pinar del Río (11 cases): Pinar del Río, Sandino and Guane.
Artemisa (one imported case): Bahía Honda.
Havana (nine, imported): Habana del Este, Centro Habana, Cerro, Arroyo Naranjo and Diez de Octubre.
Mayabeque (three imported): San José and Santa Cruz del Norte.
Matanzas (two imported): Jovellanos and Cárdenas.
Villa Clara (one imported): Caibarién.
Ciego de Ávila (two imported): Ciego de Ávila.
Camagüey (two imported): Camagüey.
Holguín (three cases, one imported): Holguín (imported) and Urbano Noris.
Santiago de Cuba (one case): Santiago de Cuba.

On Friday, 40 patients were discharged, with which 7,307 have already recovered from the new coronavirus in Cuba. Intensive care cases are reported again, this time two: one in critical condition and the other in serious condition.
This Friday, 9,593 samples were processed to detect the disease.
