Cuba woke up without deaths from COVID-19 and the health authorities only registered a contagion in the last 24 hours, establishing that the results continue to be favorable, as Dr. Francisco Durán said in his daily report.

The new carrier of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is a 17-year-old from Havana, from the Cotorro municipality. He had contact with confirmed cases and was asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.

As of midnight yesterday, 101 patients were hospitalized for epidemiological clinical surveillance and 85 were under primary healthcare surveillance in their homes.

Yesterday, 2,246 tests were made and the total number already amounts to 170,791, of which 2,341 have been positive since the first cases of the new coronavirus were reported. The evolution of the pandemic on the island can be followed here.
