Cuban singer-songwriter Pablo Milanés and his daughter Haydée Milanés will be two of the main guests of the sixth edition of the Trova Fest, held annually in the Mexican state of Querétaro.

The event will take place on December 7 and 8 and the organizers expect more than 3,000 people to attend, especially followers of the author’s song, who will be able to attend 10 concerts daily.

Mexican singer-songwriter Edgar Oceransky, organizer of the Trova Fest, told OnCuba that this festival has shown the interest there is in the trova not only in Mexico but throughout Latin America and highlighted the privilege of having Pablo and Haydée Milanés.

“We’ve always had a lot of interest in bringing musicians from the island, whose talent is recognized worldwide,” he added.

Haydée Milanés is in the process of promoting her new album Amor Edición Deluxe with songs by her father performed as a duet with relevant musicians from the Iberian-American sphere, such as Omara Portoundo, Carlos Varela, Pancho Céspedes, from Cuba, Joaquín Sabina, from Spain, and Chico Buarque, from Brazil, among others.

The singer and songwriter recently presented the album in Cuba with the Bis Music label after being released worldwide in Mexico City, where it was put into circulation by the independent Cassete label.

In the album Haydée sings emblematic songs of his father and establishes a close communication and unison with the musicians with whom she collaborates.

The singer is currently in Spain with pianist Ernán Lopez. She will present there the themes of Amor Deluxe in awaited concerts in September and October.

Pablo Milanés undertook his “Esencia” international tour for several months, with which he has confirmed his songs’ close emotional ties with different audiences in Europe and Latin America.

Trova Fest is a fundamental event for author song in Mexico and has had in its different editions the presence of artists of the caliber of Pablo Milanés, Jorge Drexler, Fernando Delgadillo, Pedro Guerra, Francisco Céspedes and Alejandro Filio, among others.
