There’s only two days left for New Year’s Eve. Here it comes the weekend and with it the last day of 2017. So, if you haven’t, get on planning how you’ll celebrate. On behave of our team, congrats, and of course the billboard!
If you want parties, concerts, Music… we’ll start with Luna Manzanares in Karl Marx Theater, and much more you can do before the end of the year. In Dance we recommend a big show with different dances, cirques and musicals variety. In FAC, as usual, a lot. And in Cinema, two tribute cycles you’ll love.

Havana in concerts

These are the concerts planed on January 1st in different spaces of the capital.

Closing the year with classics

Tomorrow there will be two classic music concerts. First, the National Concert Band directed by Igor Corcuera, at 10 a.m., in Plaza de Armas, Old Havana; second, the National Symphonic Orchestra directed by Enríquez Pérez Mesa, at 7 p.m., in Covarrubias Hall of the National Theater, with guitar player Joaquín Clerch as guest.

“Circo es…” is an attractive and exciting proposal for today and tomorrow in Avellaneda Hall of National Theater, at 5 p.m. It’s a great production with singers of the Cuban National Lyric Theater and cirque artists from Havana, Acrodance and Sueños Mágicos companies. Don’t miss it!

 

Don Quixote for 2018

Cuban National Ballet, directed by Alicia Alonso, will begin 2018 with its traditional gala on Monday, January 1st, at 5 p.m., in the Great Theater of Havana. It will be also announce the Great Theater Award and the new members of the Theater’s Honorary Book. The ballet for the occasion is Don Quixote.

12 a.m.: Open Jam with Eduardo Sandoval. Sandoval is a young Cuban musician graduated from Superior Institute of Arts. In 2015 released his first album “Caminos abiertos” with his project Habana Jazz. Nave 1.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 30th
9 p.m. Fashion: Casa GAYA presenting its collection Pret-a-porter 2018. Nave 3.

9:30 p.m. Session DJ Producer with Ivan Lejardi. Nave 1.
11 p.m. Toques de Rio in concert. This band plays with rhythms like feeling, trova, son, danzón, conga, mambo, funky, American jazz, Russian polka, tango and flamenco. Nave 4.

12 a.m. Rock and Roll in FAC with La Vieja Escuela. Cuban band that fusions British rock n roll with country classics and music from the ’50. Nave 4.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 31st
9:30 p.m. Session DJ Producer with Ivan Lejardi. Nave 1.
9:30 p.m. Session with DJs. Nave 3.
10 p.m. Session with DJs. Nave 3.

One filmmaker, one actress, cinema…

Movie Theater 23 y 12 proposes a cycle celebrating the 30 aniversary of Manuel Octavio Gómez departure. These are the two first days. Follow the billboard next week.
