The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported 48 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. Twenty are the product of autochthonous infections and 28 have a source of infection abroad.
At the close of this Saturday there were 378 active cases, and 3,143 patients were hospitalized for epidemiological surveillance, of them 755 suspected of having the disease.

81.2% (39) of the 48 positive cases were asymptomatic, for a total of 4,914 infected patients who did not present symptoms at the time of diagnosis, 62.6% of those confirmed since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic on the island.
After the reopening of the borders and the change of protocol for travelers arriving in Cuba, coronavirus infections have spread again throughout almost the entire country. In the most recent report of the MINSAP, cases appear in 12 provinces.
Havana, with nine confirmed patients, and Ciego de Ávila and Santiago de Cuba, with eight each, were the most affected provinces during the last 24 hours, although all the cases in the capital were imported.

According to the report, yesterday a 78-year-old patient in intensive care was reported in critical condition, intubated and ventilated in a controlled mode. Another 69-year-old is reported in serious condition.
